October is Fire Safety Month
Test your smoke alarms.
Check extension cords for broken or weak spots.
Plan Escape Routes. Draw a map of your house and plan at least two escape routes out of every room. Pick an outdoor meeting place that’s a safe distance from your house.
Everyone should have a fire extinguisher for their own saftey and know how to use it.
Parents should teach their children about the dangers of fire. To prevent them and keep safe if there is a fire.
